Gravitation

Gravitation, one of the fundamental forces of nature, the force of attraction existing between all matter. It is much weaker than nuclear or electromagnetic forces and plays no part in the internal structure of matter. It plays a vital role in the behavior of the universe: The gravitational attraction of the sun keeps the planets in their orbits, and gravitation holds the matter in a star together.
