Grand Canyon National Park



Grand Canyon National Park, U.S. park covering 1,218,375 acres (493,059 hectares) in Arizona, established in 1919 and expanded in 1975. The park receives about 2 million visitors annually. Some 300 species of birds and 120 other kinds of animals inhabit it. Some 300 Havasupai Native Americans live on a reservation just outside the park.
