Grain weevil

Grain weevil, or snout beetle, small destructive beetle of the weevil family that attacks and damages stored grain. The female bores into healthy grain seeds with her snout and lays eggs. Hatched grubs consume the inside of the seed and mature in about a month. This worldwide pest is controlled by spraying silos and grain bins before a new harvest.
