William James Glackens



Glackens, William James (1870–1938), U.S. illustrator and painter, member of The Eight (the Ashcan School) in New York City. Influenced by Renoir, he painted everyday subjects and landscapes. Among his works are Hammerstein's Roof Garden (1901), Chez Mouqin (1905), and Nude with Apple (1910).
