Giza

Giza (pop. 1,870,500), or Al Jizah, Egypt's third largest city, a suburb of Cairo, and the site of the 3 largest pyramids and the Great Sphinx. Its luxurious houses and apartments are homes to many wealthy Egyptians, diplomats, and business people. Unskilled workers arrive in Giza daily looking for factory work and hoping to settle there. Factory products include bricks, chemicals, cigarettes, and machine tools. Dozens of motion picture films are made in Giza each year.
