Kahlil Gibran



Gibran, Kahlil (1883–1931), Lebanese essayist and philosopher-poet who blended elements of Eastern and Western mysticism. Influenced by Blake and Nietzsche, he published The Prophet, his best-known work, in 1923; The Garden of the Prophet appeared in 1934.
