Front

Front, in meteorology, boundary between air masses. A cold front occurs when a cold air mass pushes a warm air mass ahead of it. A warm front occurs when a warm air mass pushes a cold air front. An occluded front occurs when a warm and a cold front meet; the warm air in between then rises.
