Jean Froissart

Froissart, Jean (1337?–1410?), French poet and chronicler. He traveled widely in search of material for his Chronicles of France, England, Scotland and Spain, which present a colorful, if not scrupulously accurate or objective, picture of events between 1325 and 1400. His poetry ranges from light verse to the romance Meliador.
