Edward Franklin Frazier



Frazier, Edward Franklin (1894–1962), black U.S. sociologist and writer. Frazier received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He headed the sociology department of Howard University for 25 years. His books include The Free Negro Family (1932), The Negro Family in the United States (1939), and Black Bourgeoisie (1957).
