Douglas Andrew Fraser



Fraser, Douglas Andrew (1916– ), U.S. labor leader. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Fraser became an auto worker in Detroit at age 18. He was president of the United Automobile Workers union from 1977 until 1983. In 1980 he was elected to the board of directors of Chrysler, the first union leader to be elected to the board of a U.S. firm.
