Fort Riley



Fort Riley, home to the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, near Kansas City, Kans. It was built in 1853 and named after Major General Bennett Riley, who served during the Mexican War. Several cavalry regiments, including Custer's 7th Cavalry, were organized at Fort Riley.
