Fort George G. Meade



Fort George G. Meade, headquarters for the First U.S. Army and the National Security Agency, located in Maryland about 15 mi (24 km) northeast of Washington, D.C. Established in 1917, it was named after Union general Meade. This fort currently covers 13,000 acres (5,300 hectares).
