Gabriel Urbain Fauré



Fauré, Gabriel Urbain (1845–1924), French composer. He was director of the Paris Conservatory (1905–20), where his pupils included Maurice Ravel. His works include the Requiem (1887), the orchestral suite Pelléas et Melisande (1898), and the song cycle La bonne chanson (1894).
