Fascism

Fascism, originally, political system of Italy under Benito Mussolini (1922–45); more broadly, authoritarian and antidemocratic political philosophy placing the state above the individual, and stressing absolute obedience to a glorified leader. Adolf Hitler's Nazi Party is generally considered fascist. Under facism, industry is privately owned but under government control. Nationalism, racism, and militarism are logical products of facism.
