Fan



Fan, instrument that excites a current of air by the agitation of abroad surface, vanes, or disks. In computer terminology the term fan-in is used to denote an electrical load presented to an output by an input. A fan-out is an electrical load that an output is capable of driving, usually expressed as the number of inputs that can be driven from a given output signal.
