École des Beaux-Arts (École Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts), school of design and architecture established in Paris in 1648. In the early 1900s it influenced architecture in the United States and elsewhere by promoting ancient Greek and Roman models. The school today offers courses in architecture, drawing, engraving, lithography, mosaics, and sculpture to students entering after a highly competitive enrollment procedure.
