Don Quixote

Don Quixote, classic novel by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes. Published in two parts (1605 and 1615), its titular character is a bored landowner whose fantasies of knighthood lead him to perform deeds he sees as courageous but are merely comic. Accompanied by his attendant, Sancho Panza, the two characters represent the practical and the ideal in life.
