Ernst von Dohnanyi



Dohnanyi, Ernst von (1877–1960), Hungarian composer and pianist, conductor of the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra (1919–44). His music, influenced by Brahms, includes the lighthearted Variations on a Nursery Song (1913) and Ruralia Hungarica (1924), both for piano and orchestra.
