Dodge City



Dodge City (pop. 21,129), city in southwest Kansas, on the Arkansas River, seat of Ford County. In the late 1800s it was a cattle center on the Santa Fe Trail, at the head of the Santa Fe Railroad, and it became notorious for its wild frontier life and its cemetery, Boot Hill. Today Dodge City is an important commercial center.
