Dice

Dice (singular: die), two 6-sided cubes with sides numbered from 1 to 6. They are used in gambling games and in many board games. Dice in games of chance go back at least 5,000 years, the earliest such cubes found in the Sumerian royal tombs of Ur, date to the third millennium B.C.
