Dharma

Dharma, concept of the eternal truth or law in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. To Hindus, it denotes the universal law ordaining religous and social institutions, the rights and duties of individuals, or, simply, virtuous conduct. Buddhists consider it the universal truth proclaimed to all people by Buddha. In Jainism, it also represents an eternal substance.
