Mazo De la Roche



De la Roche, Mazo (1879–1961), Canadian writer best known for a series of 16 novels that chronicle the Whiteoak family from 1852 to 1954. The first novel, Jalna, was published in 1927, the last, Morning at Jalna, in 1960. De la Roche wrote plays, short stories, children's stories, travel books, and an autobiography, Ringing the Changes (1957).
