American Indian Movement



American Indian Movement (AIM), civil rights organization in the United States and Canada, founded in 1968 to establish equal rights and improve living conditions of Native Americans. AIM has demanded the return of property rights as specified in U. S. and Canadian government treaties with various tribes, legal reform, and reform of education, employment, and health services for Native Americans.
