Saint Albertus Magnus



Albertus Magnus, Saint (1206?–80), German scholastic philosopher and scientist and teacher of St. Thomas Aquinas. He helped establish Aristotelianism and the study of the natural sciences in Christian thought, and he was possibly the first to isolate arsenic.
