Yenisey River



Yenisey River, major river of Siberia, flowing 2,500 mi (4,000 km) from the Sayan Mountains west and north to the Kara Sea (Arctic Ocean). The river is navigable by ocean steamers for 400 mi (640 km) to the port of Igarka, and is an important source of hydroelectric power.
