Elinor Wylie



Wylie, Elinor (1885–1928), U.S. poet and novelist. Her well-crafted verse appeared in 4 volumes during the 1920s and included Nets to Catch the Wind (1921), Black Armour (1923), Trivial Breath (1928), and Angels and Earthly Creatures (posthumously published in 1929). She usually wrote in traditional forms, including the sonnet. She also wrote 4 historical novels, including Jennifer Lorn (1923).
