Wrist

Wrist, or carpus, particularly in humans, joint between the hand and forearm, along with the connecting 8 small carpal bones. The wrist joint connects the long radius bone of the forearm to the carpal bones of the hand. The tendons and muscles that connect the arm to the finger bones control movement of the fingers. A joint connects the ulna of the forearm to the parallel radius rather than to the carpal bones, allowing the free rotation of the wrist.
