Wintergreen



Wintergreen, plant in the heath family. This ground creeper shows pink globe-shaped flowers or bright red berries. The shiny leaves are grouped at the end of upright red-colored branches, whose leaves remain green year round. Oil extracted from the plant is used as flavoring in foods, medicines, and chewing gum.
