Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle, principal residence of British sovereigns since the 11th century. Begun by William I, it stands about 20 mi (32 km) west of London. The Round Tower, built in 1180, is the castle's center, and St. George's Chapel (1528) is a fine example of English Perpendicular architecture.
