Thornton Niven Wilder



Wilder, Thornton Niven (1897–1975), U.S. novelist and playwright. His novels include The Bridge of San Luis Rey (1927; Pulitzer Prize) and The Ides of March (1948). Wilder experimented with stylized techniques in plays such as Our Town (1938; Pulitzer Prize), The Skin of Our Teeth (1942; Pulitzer Prize), and The Matchmaker (1954).
