Peregrine White



White, Peregrine (1620–1703), first U.S. colonist born in New England. His parents travelled from England to North America on the Mayflower. Peregrine White was born aboard ship in Cape Cod Bay. His mother, Susanna White, became the first New England bride when after the death of Peregrine's father, William White, she married Edward Winslow.
