Burton Kendall Wheeler



Wheeler, Burton Kendall (1882–1975), U.S. senator from Montana (1923–47). A Democrat, he ran in 1924 as vice presidential candidate, with Robert M. LaFollette, for the Progressive Party. He helped uncover the scandals of Pres. Warren G. Harding's administration. In World War II he advocated isolationism.
