Wedgwood ware

Wedgwood ware, fine English pottery first created by Josiah Wedgwood (1730–95). Wedgwood comes in various styles, including a cream-colored stoneware called creamware (also called queen's ware because Queen Charlotte was so pleased with her set of creamware), a black stoneware called Egyptian black or black basalt, and colored stoneware that often had white designs or figures in relief called Jasperware. Wedgwood ware's durability and beauty made it very popular. Production of it has continued to present time, and it still has a world market.
