Water bug



Water bug, name given to a number of insects that live on or below the surface of fresh water, especially the giant water bug, which may grow up to 4 in (10 cm) long. Water bugs feed on small aquatic animals, including fish. Backswimmers, water boatmen, and water scorpions are also water bugs.
