Warbler

Warbler, small songbird native to the Americas. Warblers (family Parulidae) are seen throughout the United States and Canada during the temperate months, and migrate south to winter in South and Central America. Among the many species of warblers are the American redstart (Setophaga ruticilla), the yellow warbler (Dendroica petechia), and the hooded warbler (Wilsonia citrina). The feathers of warblers vary in color. The birds grow to about 3.5–10 in (9–25 cm), and they are noted for their lively movements and song. Warblers are beneficial to farmers and gardeners as they feed on harmful insects.
