Wagner, Robert Ferdinand, Jr. (1910–91), U.S. politician and administrator. Son of senator Robert F. Wagner, he served 3 terms as mayor (1954–66) of New York City, introducing controversial reforms in housing, education, and civil rights. He was U.S. ambassador to Spain (1968–69).
