Andrei Yanuarievich Vishinsky



Vishinsky, Andrei Yanuarievich (1883–1954), Soviet diplomat and jurist. Chief state prosecutor in the purge trials of 1936–38, he was deputy commissar (1940–9) and commissar (1949–53) for foreign affairs, and USSR's chief UN delegate (1953–54).
