Sigrid Undset



Undset, Sigrid (1882–1949), Norwegian novelist. Largely known for her epic trilogy set in medieval Norway, Kristin Lavransdatter (1920–22), she won the 1928 Nobel Prize in literature. Her contemporary novels dealt with the position of women in society and with Roman Catholicism.
