Titus

Titus, early Christian follower of St. Paul. He traveled with Paul to the Council of Jerusalem, and later went with him to Greece. Appointed by Paul as a special representative to the church in Corinth, he was later made the first archbishop of Crete. Paul's epistle to Titus, the 17th book of the New Testament, believed to have been written in A.D. 65 or 66, gave Titus instructions on how to organize the church in Crete.
