Timothy



Timothy (Phleum pratense), perennial coarse grass grown for hay harvesting and animal grazing. Its nutritional value is increased when alfalfa or clover seed is added to its fields. Also known as herd's-grass, it grows 1.5–3.5 ft (46–107 cm) high and thrives in the northern United States (especially New York state) and Canada.
