Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay (pop. 112,300), city in Ontario, Canada, on the northwestern shore of Lake Superior. It has an excellent harbor, which makes it a major shipping center for grain and ore from western Canada. It is also the home of Lakehead University and of Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology.
