Thrasher



Thrasher, any of 17 U.S. bird species belonging to the mockingbird family. A brownish, long-tailed bird, it is known for its raucous call. It forages on the ground for insects, worms, seeds, and fruit. The most familiar is the brown thrasher, found east of the Rocky Mountains.
