Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands, group of over 1,500 islands—some Canadian, some U.S.—in the St. Lawrence River at the outlet of Lake Ontario. St. Lawrence Islands National Park includes 13 of them. Thousand Islands International Bridge (actually five bridges) is 8 1/2 mi (13.7 km) long and carries traffic across the river.
