Teheran Conference



Teheran Conference, inter-Allied conference of World War II, held in Teheran (Nov.-Dec. 1943) and attended by Soviet premier Joseph Stalin, U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt, and British prime minister Winston Churchill. Important items were the coordination of landings in France with a Soviet offensive against Germany from the east, future Soviet entry into the war against Japan, agreement on Iran's future independence, and international cooperation after the war.
