Sunfish

Sunfish, popular fresh water sports fish of the bass family, found in North America. The body is perchlike: deep and flattened, and with a long dorsal fin. Male sunfish dig nests in sand and guard the eggs. They feed on small animals and other fish and are active only during periods of sunshine. Ocean sunfish (Mola mola) are unrelated fish that live in the sea.
