Sulgrave Manor



Sulgrave Manor, home of the ancestors of George Washington, first President of the United States. It is located in Sulgrave, a village in Northamptonshire, England. Built by Lawrence Washington, Sulgrave Manor remained in the family from 1539 to 1610. It is now a museum, furnished and restored to reflect the period when the Washingtons lived there.
