Statuary Hall

Statuary Hall, domed chamber in the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., in which statues of important Americans are displayed. Created in 1870, the hall contains at least 1 statue from each of the 50 states. Because of space, some of the statues have been placed in other areas of the Capitol. Statuary Hall is the former site of the House of Representatives.
