Star of David



Star of David, known also as Shield of David, symbol of Judaism and the state of Israel. This star is comprised of 2 triangles, one inverted and superimposed over the other. The Hebrew title Magen David originates from the late A.D. 200s. Its first recorded appearance is from as long ago as 960 B.C.
