Spurge family



Spurge family, group of plants that include herbs, shrubs, and trees that grow mainly in tropical climates throughout the world. These plants provide castor oil, cassava, and rubber; some are poinsettias. Commercial applications for waterproofing, polishes, candle waxes, and other products are derived from a species of the spurge family (Euphorbia antisyphilitica) native to Mexico.
