Spanish bayonet



Spanish bayonet, plant in the agave family, of the genus Yucca. The Spanish bayonet (Y. aloifolia) is about 25 ft (8 m) in height. Its name refers to the shape of its leaves, which are like slender, pointed bayonets. This plant can be found in the United States, the West Indies in the Caribbean, and Mexico.
